T-Mobile G2 is still to begin shipping later this month and we have information about another handset from the carrier.

T-Mobile G2 is still to begin shipping later this month and we have information about another handset from the carrier. T-Mobile’s myTouch HD has leaked in a couple of shots on the internet. The good news is that it has some of its features similar to G2, though there are many features that set the two handsets apart.

Apart from photos, a document containing information about the has also leaked on the web. MyTouch HD runs on Android version 2.2 Froyo and offers HSPA+ connectivity similar to G2. What differentiates the handset from G2 is the presence of a faster 1 GHz processor in the former, whereas G2 is powered by an 800 MHz processor. Another distinction is that of QWERTY keyboard, as G2 has one and myTouch HD doesn’t.

MyTouch HD has screen size of 3.8 inch which is slightly bigger than the screen packed inside G2. An HDMI port is highly probable as the document mentions it as an HD device. A 5 MP camera with auto focus and flash and a video calling VGA camera too are mentioned in the phone’s rumored specifications.

Video calling is supported by Wi-Fi, 3G as well as HSPA+ connectivity. A 4 GB built-in memory and a micro SD card of 8 GB are other features of the handset. Genius Button and Swype too mark their presence inside the handset. We are ready to eagerly wait for the handset’s official specifications and we don’t think they are far away from us.

The next few weeks are going to be busy revealing the specifications of some of the upcoming handsets. A lot of variety is promised by different manufacturers and operating systems. We begin with Samsung i8700, which happens to be another device running on Windows Phone 7. The phone has appeared in online images and some of its features are 8 GB of built-in memory and LED Flash. We expect the phone’s full specifications to turn official in few days, as many WP7 devices are slotted for release in October.

LG is bringing its devices earlier than other manufacturers. September 14 will see the release of two of the manufacturer’s devices, called LG Optimus One and Optimus Chick. Both the devices run on Android smart phone. Another important thing to begin on September 14 is the Nokia World event which will take a week to complete. You will find the handsets like Nokia N9 and E7 waiting for you during the event.

Only a day later on September 15, HTC is expected to announce its upcoming handsets called Desire HD and Desire Z. Motorola is bringing its two dual-SIM enabled phones in the month of October. Known by the names of EX115 and EX128, these two handsets are expected to have revelation of their official specifications soon. Though, full QWERTY for EX115 and touchscreen UI for EX128 are highly expected.

Finally, we have information about Acer Liquid Metal which is expected in the stores soon. The handset runs on Android 2.2 Froyo and is powered by an 800MHz Qualcomm MSM7230-1 processor.

Keep on watching to learn about the specifications and prices of these upcoming devices.

Is September the chosen month for the release of T-Mobile G2, the successor of the revolutionary G1? At least, the leaked documents are indicating this to be true.

Is September the chosen month for the release of T-Mobile G2, the successor of the revolutionary G1? At least, the leaked documents are indicating this to be true. The internal documents recently leaked on the web points September 29 to be the release date for the T-Mobile G2 or HTC Vision, if you know the device better with this name. However, no official confirmation has been received in this direction.

Interestingly, it is being speculated that T-Mobile G2 is the same device as HTC Vanguard, as the latter too has been long projected for release in September. More rumors saying that the device will be available for pre-order from the first week of September have also been posted on the web.

The Android based G2 promises HSPA+ speed as one of its main highlights. Besides, a powerful Qualcomm processor is another exciting feature the device is going to have. And of course, the device runs on Android 2.2 which indeed makes it an interesting device. The HTC Sense UI for the device has been revived to have many improved features. A number of T-Mobile applications too adorn the eagerly awaited device.

Whenever the T-Mobile G2 releases, it will face tough competition from the US version of Samsung Galaxy S which is performing extremely well. According to the latest reports, over 1 million Galaxies have been sold in 45 days through various carriers of the United States. Let’s wait for the face off between the two Android powered devices.

The first one is about the Sony Ericsson Vivaz which will be available for sale through AT&T from September 5. Vivaz is a Symbian powered handset with a 3.2 inch TFT touch screen and an 8 MP camera with LED flash and auto focus. Video recording of 720p, 3G HSDPA, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are other highlights of the phone.

The price of US $80 after 50 US dollars rebate and with a two year contract has been decided for the Sony Ericsson Vivaz. Also, the handset will be available in Galaxy Blue and Venus Ruby shades.

Another similar priced handset is Motorola Charm which is already on sale through T-Mobile. The handset too is available in two colors, Golden Bronze and Cabernet, and carries a price tag of US $75. Motorola Charm features a 2.8 inch TFT touch screen, QWERTY keyboard, expandable memory of up to 32 GB and a 3.16 MP camera. The Cell phone runs on Android version 2.1 and supports MOTOBLUR UI v1.5.

Coming back to AT&T news, the photos of the carrier’s upcoming HTC T8788 have leaked on the web. It is indeed exciting to know that like many other mobile OSes, Windows Phone 7 is going to join the AT&T family with this handset. The HTC device is a side-slider with a QWERTY keyboard. Do you know what the lower half of the slider contains? There is a speaker hidden inside, hinting HTC T8788 as a superlative multimedia device. Curiosity is certain to build around the device.

More and more handsets are getting ready to join the Windows Phone 7 revolution even before the mobile OS releases officially.

More and more handsets are getting ready to join the Windows Phone 7 revolution even before the mobile OS releases officially. Two latest handsets to join the list are Samsung Cetus and LG C900. As per the information revealed, both the handsets will hit the stores during the holiday season. Also, the two will be released by AT&T. The photos of both the handsets have already leaked on the web.

Samsung i917 Cetus is a candybar design. No information about the handset is available except the fact that it has 3 touch sensitive buttons at the bottom. The LG C900 photographs too appear without much information about the device. The only thing known so far is that it has a QWERTY keyboard and slider form factor.

Not only for WP 7, there are handsets getting ready for another upcoming platform called Android 2.2 Froyo. Motorola has already revealed the Android update plans for many of its devices. The manufacturer has scheduled its devices like Droid, Droid X, MOTOROI and MILESTONE to receive Android Froyo soon. Also, the Motorola handsets including CLIQ, CLIQ XT and US BACKFLIP are scheduled to receive Android Éclair update. Though, the European and Latin American versions of BACKGLIP won’t receive the Éclair update.

There are talks about another Android smart phone, the T-Mobile G2. The leaked photos of G2 fail present a dull design for what is supposed to be the successor of revolutionary G1. However, no early judgment can be passed on the basis of the blurred images.

A 4.1 inch AMOLED screen with WVGA resolution and touch functionality is one of the features we know about Dell Thunder. An 8 MP camera with auto focus and 720p HD video recording capability is also onboard. A 1400mAh battery is another feature among these revealed so far. Besides, it is also known that Dell Stage UI would support the Cell phone in the future.

Dell Thunder is expected to release not before the last quarter of 2010. As far as price is concerned, you will have to wait for the revelation. However, the price of a luxurious phone has appeared and it is worth taking a look.

Gresso, known for its hugely expensive handsets, brings Luxor Las Vegas Jackpot carrying a price tag of 1 million US dollars. Yes! It is another 1 million dollar phone that joins equally priced GoldVish’s Le Million Piece Unique handset. The growth rate of 64 percent compared to last year’s Q2is phenomenal and every smart phone manufacturing company has contributed towards it.

Talking about the worldwide smart phone market, Nokia has sustained its top position by shipping the largest number of smart phone devices to the world. As many as 23.8 million units were shipped by the manufacturer, recording the growth rate of 41 percent. Nokia 5230 and other affordable smart phones from the manufacturer have helped it to enjoy the market share of 38 percent.

Research in Motion has secured the total market share of 18 percent in the second quarter and enjoys the position at number two. Apple with 13 percent market share is at number three position. Despite all the criticism that iPhone 4 faced, Apple was able to increase the number of shipments to the world by 61 percent.

Android showed an amazing growth of 886 percent in the second quarter. The smart phone market in the United States witnessed the growth of 41 percent with 14.7 million devices shipped to the country’s stores. Out of that, 34 percent were the Android based smart phones. RIM enjoys the strongest position in the US market with market share of 32.1 percent. Apple takes the second position with 21.7 percent of the total market share.

Smart phones are indeed making smart profits in all the markets of the world and the trend is going to continue for the upcoming months as well.
